Downtown Boca’s future just got brighter with receipt of a development application for a Hyatt Place Hotel at the southeast corner of Federal Highway and Palmetto Park Road. The Hyatt Place will bring a new 146,250-square-foot hotel with 200 guest rooms, an integrated parking structure, and a full-service 8,000-square-foot restaurant. It will be the first hotel constructed within Downtown Boca.

“The time is right to add a hotel to the diverse mix of uses in Downtown Boca,” said Ruby Childers, Downtown manager. “The city has been working hard to enhance the vibrancy and high quality of life for residents and visitors. Downtown Boca is alive with activity, and hotel guests will have easy access to a vast array of shopping, dining, nightlife, culture and more.”

Steps away from the hotel site is Downtown Boca’s Pedestrian Promenade and Sanborn Square, the hub for connectivity and walkability.

The Promenade, with its widened sidewalks, improved lighting and decorative pavers and crosswalks, links Downtown Boca destinations from Mizner Park south to Royal Palm Place.

Both Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place offer residents and visitors an exciting mix of retail shops, restaurants, entertainment and cultural venues. Mizner Park is also home to the luxury movie theater “iPic”, the Boca Raton Museum of Art, the City’s amphitheater, the glamorous new Jazziz nightclub and lounge and the first Lord & Taylor in Florida.

With new residential units under development and the coming of the popular grocery store, Trader Joe’s next spring, Downtown Boca is buzzing.
